Bubbles the Buffalo

Hello there

, I popped into the calving barn last week before my tour arrived as usual.

These days and nights are very busy with lots of calves arriving, sometimes in quick succession!

Kieran Lynch, the Farm Manager told me that a very special new calf

had arrived when least expected the night before.

And he sure was right! Standing up as bright as a new shiny black button was a

teeny ,tiny calf, 4 weeks premature and weighing in at 18Kg ( full term buffalo calf

weight is 30-35 kg)

He is just perfect in every way- drinking his milk, sleeping and now, playing with

his much bigger buddies . We have named him Bubbles and he is a huge hit with

our tour guests and Kieran and I. Sooo cute!
